A quick intro to the Artist Frank Oliva
Frank Oliva is an artist living in Hawai'i. He has been painting for over four decades and his paintings are in many island and mainland collections. His early work include fanciful and beautiful painted furniture. Over a decade ago, Frank started painting canvases using acrylics. He enjoys the very special experience of painting in Hawai'i and is inspired by the dynamic natural beauty, the bay, volcanoes and flora of Hawai'i.
Frank Oliva's travels led him to Australia where his fascination for aboriginal painting started. Since then, his unique style has won many accolades, and he is one of very few artists working in this painstakingly colorful style.
"When does an artist become enchanted by art? For me, it was discovering the richness of the art scene in New York, and then traveling for years visiting museums, churches, castles, galleries, and many great places.

Art speaks to me, and when I paint, color is the key. It contains the message, expresses emotion and charts the journey from eye to intellect. Color conveys what I am trying to express.
When I discovered Aboriginal art during a visit to Australia, I was captivated by the trails of color across canvas. My tracks have a beginning and an end. The color dots have a story line and every painting is different...and every painting tells a different story.
